Nearing the Big day- Budget week

The following is just a trading idea which is being shared . Not to be used as a recommendation to trade. Your valuable comments are invited:

I was just observing that prior to budget days almost all the Fertiliser Shares buzz around in the hopes of sops for agriculture/ Fertiliser Industry; subsidies etc. You see the Chambals; Zuaris flying around during this last week of February. I was looking for a good trading pick and GNFC seems to fit the bill:

Here are some of my observations on GNFC which may have further upsides left in it on Monday/Tuesday

a) On 24-2-2006 GNFC rose by five rupees with a volume of about 28 lakh shares on the NSE

b) Closed at a 52 week High when the sensex slipped by 40 points

c) The cost of carry is positive and the open interest on the share increased by over 10 lakh shares on the Futures side showing that the market is expecting the stock to move further up.

Lets see whether it has an upside upto Rs. 150/- in the next week. The lot size for the Futures contract is 2950 shares and the Margin requirement for the March Futures is approximately Rs. 75,000/-

ciao
